Systems of Translation Automata and Their Applications
Žitňanská, Lívia ; Klobučníková, Dominika (referee) ; Meduna, Alexandr (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to define uniform unit for lexical and syntactic analysis. This unit is called lexical-syntactic transducer LST and it is composed of finite and pushdown transducer and communication (or query) symbols. Their definition and description are based on communication symbols introduced in parallel communicating grammar systems. Their purpose is to secure communication between those transducers. Thesis also deals with implementation of this unit, contains description of the implementation and comparison of attributes with the already existing systems. The resulting unit translates new language AIDA, which is based on Python 3 with elements from language C, to intermediate code.
Systems of Translation Models and Their Applications
Žitňanská, Lívia ; Burgetová, Ivana (referee) ; Meduna, Alexandr (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to propose and formally define a system of transducers, specify its characteristics, and compare it to already existing systems. Thus, the System of pushdown transducers (SPT) was introduced. This system consists of modified pushdown transducers whose components communicate via query symbols introduced in Parallel communicating grammar systems (PCGS) and can work in three different modes. Besides theoretical definitions, this thesis also describes the implementation of the proposed system as a transducer from DNA to RNA and amino acids using the SPT of two elements.
Parallel Grammar Systems: Theory, Implementation, and Applications
Harag, Miroslav ; Pavlík, Peter (referee) ; Meduna, Alexandr (advisor)
This thesis introduces a new version of parallel communicating grammatical systems, where grammars with scattered context are used as components. The properties of these systems are studied and their computational completeness is proven. The thesis also provides a construction of a grammar with scattered context, which can generate the derivation sequences of any phrase grammar.
